Bidra med feedbackAwesome place to stop and grab a bite to eat! THE BRISKET FRIES ARE PERFECT! ???? Plenty of room for a party or a nice big group! Very clean and fair priced!
We ran into someone at the truck stop who recommended this place and I?m so glad we stopped in! The menu had pulled pork nachos, but I asked if I could have brisket instead. Absolutely delicious! I couldn?t even finish it all. The crew working tonight werebeyond pleasant. These boys really had it together to be working without a supervisor and I loved their customer service. Ididn?t get any names, but the young curly headed guy was superb and his authentic mannerisms were greatly appreciated.
As a truck driver, I was pleasantly surprised to find a BBQ place right next to the Pilot station, a welcome change from the usual fare. I was greeted immediately by the enticing aromas and friendly staff. The menu was packed with classic favorites, so I decided to go with the two meats and two sides option. This platter did not disappoint. The tender beef brisket and shredded smoked pork were so flavorful that they didn't need any additional sauce—hot and delicious just as they were. Pairing it with the tangy potato salad and savory baked beans, along with onions, pickles, and slices of Texas toast, turned my meal into a picture-perfect picnic.
The food is served on disposable plates and with disposable utensils, which is typical in Huntsville. Be sure to check out the photos of the menu’s extensive offerings. I particularly appreciate that the restaurant shows its support for TDCJ workers by offering them a 10% discount. There’s a large dedication poster inside that pays tribute to the hard work and often underappreciated efforts of those in our correctional facilities. To the reviewer who criticized the name without having dined there: shame on you for spreading misleading opinions that may deter potential customers! The walls of the restaurant honor these workers and highlight the events they hold for inmates. Historic photos remind diners that inmates are people too, who enjoy entertainment, participate in rodeos, and cheer for others. The restaurant is also decorated with impressive specimens of animals that have been skillfully preserved by a local taxidermist. While not everyone may appreciate the juxtaposition of prison and hunting decor, the establishment preserves the stories of Huntsville’s history much like a museum would. Stop in to refuel, enjoy some delicious East Texas BBQ, and treat yourself to spicy or mild sauce on your meal. Don’t forget dessert—choose from banana pudding, pecan pie, or chocolate chip cookies!
The service was friendly and attentive. The brisket and pulled pork were absolutely delicious! The baked beans, mac and cheese, and banana pudding were also quite tasty. I will definitely stop by again when I'm passing through.
