Bidra med feedbackGood food and wonderful service. Nice selection on menu. My nephew ate everything he ordered, which is a miracle. The atmosphere is cool. If you grew up in the south, especially in Texas, you will find something from your childhood on the walls or in the decor. Not excessively loud or overcrowded. Pie offers are excellent and what we cost rival grandmother. Had pecan, vinegar pecan pies and chocolate cake...
This place is nothing short of fantastic! Had reason to be in town to watch an athletic event at the University. Received several recommendations, and all were spot-on. What I love even more than the food was the service. Wait staff was terrific, taking the time to share their personal recommendations when given several choices by the many people sitting at our table. By the way, save plenty of room for dessert. The pie selection is to die for... Simply nothing like it in the rest of the US throughout my travels.
We always enjoy the homemade potato chips with ranch dressing. Their menu offers a good selection, tonight I had spinach chicken quesadillas , and my wife grilled pork chops. Our server, Wesley, did a good job, prices are reasonable, stop in if you are in the area
Discovered this little country jewel on the way back from Galveston. So glad we got off the interstate for lunch here. Love the atmosphere, vibe and the food. Fantastic old fashioned pies you would of thought your grandmother made. Probably the best Fried Pickles I've had as well.
I opted for the bun-less sunny side burger, paired with the mixed vegetables as I try to make healthier choices. The vegetables were good, and the burger was perfectly cooked and delicious; I'm sure it would have been amazing with a bun too. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We give it two thumbs up!
