Bidra med feedbackThis was an excellent dining experience but sadly, we were informed by the owner that BabaluNY will be closing next week forever. The rent is exorbitant and they have no choice but to close. We would happily recommend it, but it will be gone very soon.
This was our 1st visit and I was very impressed. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered a pitcher of mojito, which was delicious and hit the spot. The cuisine was outstanding and the highlight of dinner. The Camarone Ajillo (shrimp in garlic butter) was perfect as an appetizer dunking the bread in the sauce was yummy. I had the Bacalao (cod) which was cooked to perfection and had amazing Cuban flavors. My son had the chimichuri steak, which he said was tender and full of flavor. My wife had the Paella and it was divine (I had to help her finish it). The black rice and tostones were great sides as well. It's a small restaurant, so book early in the week if you want to eat before 8. We'll be going back!!
What a fabulous find! Wish I'd knew abt this sooner! Absolutely great experience...from the waiter Scott, to the owner/chef Alan! The food was delicious! From the empanadas to the scrumptious ribs to the salad and the Cubano sandwich! Even the yuca fries and the potato fries were outstanding! Will definitely be back soon!
The food is always amazing!!! Service was a bit slower than normal; especially the drinks and apps. Music was way to loud Saturday night, couldn't have a conversation without shouting over it.
They have great drinks! Happy hour is between 4pm-6pm discounted drinks and 25% off tapas. All the food was very good. The vibe of the place was really nice. Staff was friendly. I definitely would go back.
