Bidra med feedbackThis place was so yummy! Nothing fancy, just really fresh, delicious food! They make their own bread and it was AMAZING! Our subs were huge! We are from out of town, but would definitely be regulars if we lived closer! Give them a try!
2nd visit to the area 2nd visit to this OIP another good one! First time (a few years ago , I remember the takeaway being a great spaghetti dinner. On this visit (better documented , the stars of the show were a Stromboli Chicken Cheesesteak (with mushrooms . Both were knocked out of the park! Typical unassuming downtown 'pizza joint ' ....with great food. Service was great typical casual dining. (I think I was even called 'hon ' it 's a PA thing ; Other diners appeared to be regulars which would make sense for a small downtown, but have felt welcomed when here OIP is on my list, next time I 'm in town!
Pasta! How do you mess up pasta. So over cooked and mushy. Sauce was ok, bread was ok. Also ordered a VEGGIE sub, now it's not on the menu but I was reassured they could make one, no mayo, no cheese, just veggies??? No, it came out with 2 different meats and cheese on it. Like how go you get that wrong, basically a sub with no meat?!?!
This is always the first thing we eat when we get back in town as takeout. The steak and cheese stromboli is always are stuffed full with meat and cheese with a marinara sauce that doesn't give me heartburn. Love the dough and cheese in the stromboli and on the pizzas. There's a good chew to the dough that isn't too tough and the cheese has a bit of a pull. Leftovers taste good too the next day (hot or cold). Great pizza for a great price!
Steak cheese stromboli was delicious! I ordered medium size, and it was GIGANTIC, like 1.5 feet long. One half of it was enough for dinner. The bread was absolutely soft and fresh, and the inside filling was cheesy, thick, and satiating. Garlic knots were also amazing--huge and hot, with a softly crispy garlicky exterior and super-soft doughy inside.
