The encounter was on Friday, 5/20/22 just before 5pm. The shorter caucasian server saw that there was barely enough tuna in the bowl for my sandwich, verbally said “we’re out of tuna”, but instead of getting a new one, she swiped at the empty bowl a ridiculous number of times. ? I asked her about it and she said I got my two scoops so that’s that. More like two half scoops but I digress.This isn’t even about the tuna but the way I was treated with barely concealed contempt for even asking. This was honestly the first time a subway employee didn’t go out of their way to be fair/nice to me. But that’s my fault for going in there with gym clothes right?! ?? Yeah it’s my fault for choosing to go to the Hugo Subway.
Stopped in this evening, said hello to the two employees and was completely ignored. No eye contact, no greeting what so ever by either of them while I waited for one to put on his gloves. I ended up changing my mind on ordering and walked out. Why the hell would I spend money at a place that can’t even say, hello, to a customer. Thinking there is a great opportunity for a manager or owner to help their staff understand the importance of good customer service. Plenty of other choices out there.
Always a good spot for whatever you want. Salads, cold subs, hot subs. The service is always nice and fast.
