Towne Oak - Hubbard Woods

A great coffee shop bistro on Green Bay Road, in Winnetka’s Hubbard Woods district. It’s a great location, close to the train station and also has decent street parking (free but not always easy to find a spot). I haven’t tried their food yet but would definitely like to based on others’ pictures and opinion. The coffee is good (I had my usual latte), but not outstanding. They definitely have plenty of staff on hand which is unusual these days. The ambience of the place is great.

Had a late lunch here with friends for the first time.i ordered the mediterranean salad sans cheese, my friend had the butternut squash 'tartine ' and her husband had the chopped salad.we ate at the island; it was fairly busy @2pm. i guess when we walked in, and this was our first time, it wasn 't that clear cut--do we look for a host to seat us? do we seat ourselves? no, and yes.you place your order at the counter, get a number, find a seat and your food is brought to you. if the logistics on how to order were clearer, it would be helpful.back to the food: everything we ordered wasgreat. the butternut squash tartine won first prize with the frizzled brussels sprouts. i loved my mediterranean salad--especially the crispy chickpeas. food was brought out quickly and our two salad bowls were chilled--a nice touch. water was self served and salt/pepper avail when requested.a light filled space, clean and comfortable, not cramped. everything is also avail to go, and their house coffee, i was told, is epic. tbd later.breakfast items are alsoavailable and look promising. if you have not been...try it!

Nice ambiance, great service. Could use more vegetarian options. Plenty of seating, very busy.

Food is way too buttery and cheesy for my taste. Had a bad stomach after Service was limited and slow to get food out

My favorite coffee shop ever! The best decaf iced mocha with almond milk and scrambled eggs that I have ever had! I don't care that it costs a lot of money, it's my favorite coffee/breakfast restaurant ever! The staff are all nice and friendly! I would give it an 10 out of 10.
