Bidra med feedbackLocal food, north of pier, quiet area of huanchaco, fair pisco acidic, but not in position, compete with poor level of large screen tw. the family had to change the restorers.
There for cocktail drinks with a friend. we were told it was for a happy hour, so a few pisco sours from meni were ordered that they arrived at the piscosours, were very small (nects much bigger...then a shot glass) weak and not beautiful. then we get a bill for and find out that it is not really for finally. the worst part of the experience was the management when we told them about the different prizes they were quite irresponsible. it felt like a lap in the face. we were the only ones there at peak times on Sunday night wuth so stupid misleading prices, bad service and products it is not hard to see why this place is empty.
We had a great meal here, one that rivaled in lima. delicious seafood, a great presentation and wonderful service. and much cheaper than in lima! highly recommended!
Had Prawn fried rice which was excellent. Well prepared with nice spicy sauce was fresh on order. My friends had seafood soup and fried fish that was well prepared. Highly recommend this place.
With my friend I stayed about one year and a bit in huanchcao, not for the first time. We LOVE Huanchaco. But it was in that Valerie and I chose a table in a restaurant that seemed to have created or was busy creating...a niche along the malecón. Competition is fierce and especially off season when we were there. We are not the young backpackers anymore and not having to live from hand to mouth either we thought that we could pamper ourselves a bit in a comfort zone with a view on the Pacific ocean, most of the time seasoned with a splendid sunset as well. SO, the food is a bit pricier than the average local restorantes where they serve the cebiches and parihuelas the way the locals like them. But I tend to avoid large noisy crowds composed of binge drinking Peruvians. Also times out of ten you find thier parked in front of the restaurant and have loud music blaring out of the loudspeakers. No way to enjoy what we came here for which is peace and quiet and nature, soothed and rocked by the sound of the crashing waves. Got the picture? SO at Sabor e Arte you can get that. Exquisite food a la carte as well as the dish of the day. The meat does not come from the local meat market, but from Tesco's I think. No risk of food poisoning either with fish dishes, always fresh. The couple's personality is charming and the conversations you can have with them contribute to the interest sitting there, if you like. The lady is an artist and her works decorate the interior indoors. Her husband, the chef, knows the ins and outs of wine culture too. different flavours and brands available! And in case you want something extra or something that is not straight up your street in the dish you just ordered, you can always rely on him to help you meet your needs. No worries. So, if you want value for money...Sabor Y Arte is the place. Salud!!! Cheers friends y ¡hasta la vista! Alann
