Bidra med feedbackI finally found some vegan dumplings in Taiwan, very delicious.
I feel badly typing this because the staff was extremely nice, but I have to leave a very honest review of the food, as it is absolutely NOT worth the price. The rice with vegetables was very oily, the vegetables and the mosquito are braided and the flavors were all moderately best, the soup served in meals is bland and oily, we only took a spoon. We a had a hard time to eat and I usually always empty my plate. But the miniature pieces are sweet to see.
Absolutely loved it! I chose the set menu with udon noodles. The whole set was great and tasteful. Also a lot of veggies included, which I like! Tea and some fresh fruit were included as well.
The food here is so lovingly prepared and presented, it almost seemed a shame to eat it! We ordered three set meals two were fried bean curd (one with rice and one with udon noodle), and one was a Japanese curry. Each set meal came with a fern salad with steamed veg and sesame dressing, some braised cabbage, carrot and soy products, some seared tofu with wakame and shiitake, and a beautiful, light and fresh corn and seaweed broth....plus a small bowl of fruit and beautiful Japanese green tea (black tea or coffee were also options). The price was reasonable at around NT$250 280 per set meal. We managed to eat most of our meal but we have good appetites and we struggled to finish! Service was professional and prompt and the setting was decorative, homely and peaceful. Highly recommend.
They’ve updated their menu prices most dishes are now $250. I ordered an udon set and it was mostly delicious. The udon dish was great, but the real star was a side dish of tofu in sauce. It easily one of the best things I’ve eaten in Taiwan. Other parts of the dish were so so. I don’t think I’d pay $250 again, but it was still enjoyable.
