Stockyard BBQ - Houston

Only one night in Houston, wanted some great Texas Beef. This place was EVERYTHING!! Beef brisket with great sauce, awesome rice and beans, loaded baked potato salad and garden salad for sides, nachos with brisket was excellent, and we were there for Happy Hour, so $5 frozen margaritas to wash it down. Couldn’t ask for more!

We wanted to try some good food (BBQ) and I have to say we were Not disappointed!! Outstanding food and amazing people!! So good we decided to food to go with us on the road!!

Brisket had no char and was just downright bland. But the sausage was great, pulled pork was great, mac and cheese was okay, only bbq place so far that properly fried their fries to a crisp fry not soggy... but... let me tell you about their banana pudding. If you dont know... let me put you on. THAT WAS THE BEST DESSERT I have had ANYWHERE.

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been coming here for years. We love it here so much that we even had our wedding rehersal dinner here. Along with various birthday and Christmas parties, we come here regularly just to hang out and have some good food. Staff are wonderful, food is great, and I highly recommend it here. You gotta have the fried okra and heartattack potatos with any meal you choose.

The bbq is amazing. A must stop if you are in the area! Do not miss out the portion are just right.
