Bidra med feedbackI really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Every time I passed by, I was intrigued, so I finally decided to give it a try today. However, when we were seated, there was no server in sight and we had to flag someone down for assistance. The menu was limited, and we were not informed that they only serve certain dishes on certain days and times. The staff seemed eager to leave, and overall, the management was poor. We ended up walking out without eating and I would not recommend this place.
I drove for over an hour to reach this restaurant. I called ahead but received no answer, assuming it was due to the busy Saturday rush. Upon arrival, my husband, 10-year-old daughter, and I were told that only reservations were being seated at tables, with walk-ins being directed to the bar. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit at the bar with our daughter, and the manager did not make any effort to accommodate us. All she did was apologize and mention they only had two servers working that day. This lack of customer service is disappointing and may be one of the reasons why some black-owned businesses do not receive the same support as others. I would give this restaurant zero stars, as my only experience was a lack of customer service.
The food was very tasty, but the atmosphere did not meet my expectations. Perhaps we visited on a slow day. I found the price of appetizers to be quite high... $24 for mac and cheese seems excessive for a mid-range restaurant. It would be more logical to lower some appetizer prices or expand the regular menu. The 18% gratuity added automatically was unexpected and not well-received by my friends and me, as we were not aware of this policy.
Food was cold by the time condiments were provided if I’m was almost inedible. Hoping my next experience is better want to try one more time.
The food was not good. I had the chicken and waffles with Parmesan truffled grits. The chicken was dry. The waffles were soft. The grits were not edible. The truffle oil wasjust overpowering. You could smell the oil across the table. Temperature of the food was slightly warm. We also had the calamari which was very tough. My daughter had the macaroni and cheese with crawfish. Added 4 large shrimp to the dish. She said it was delicious. I would not recommend this restaurant. Definitely not worth $100.
