Moderno Tacos Tex Mex - Houston

So I come here a lot and I have recommended this place to a lot of people! But today’s service is was horrible!! Today was my first time taking my fiancé and the food was outstanding as always but Jennifer ruined our meal with her disgusting attitude.. my son felt really uncomfortable telling her what he wanted because of the negative vibe she was giving.. as far as the other 2 ladies they were polite and professional with smiles and manners but I really didn’t appreciate the way she looked us or took our order. My fiancé was pleased with the food and we will return I will refuse to tip someone with a nasty attitude..

All I can say is I ordered Mijas and they weren’t what I ordered! They didn’t have the tortillas strips or extra chorizo plus very watery. I didn’t have a very good experience experience for my 1st time at this establishment. The staff is very friendly but the food is a total waste of money 16 dollars for a breakfast plate and coffee!

Delicious breakfast tacos and great coffee. I love the decor and with so many choices, it’s hard to get bored but easy to feed a crowd. No wonder they have so many loyal regulars. Definitely worth it.

I am writing this at the restaurant because it couldn’t wait. Amazing staff and quick, great service. However let’s take a step back.The reason for this review is the Tacos Nortenos. These tacos are out of this world. Fajita meat of your choice with their “refried bean salsa.” I don’t know what’s in this but I would pay triple for it again. Thanks Moderno.

Meh. A friend recommended their fajita taco salad and also said the vinaigrette was delicious. I did not think either was very flavorful at all. I won't blame them though, different strokes for different folks. I did see some other items on the menu that looked good, and I enjoyed the chips and salsa, so I will go back and give them another try. Plus, there was a nice crowd for right after work on a Wednesday, so they must be doing something right. The waitress had a good sense of humor.
