Koto - Houston

I was looking for genji on westheimer and was taken to the wrong address of the gps. I made a parking lot and saw this little Japanese gem. I was greeted by apple who is very nice and friendly. the atmosphere is great and the staff is great. denny, the sushi cook was very nice and we were a little controversial. since covid, I really didn't stop talking to other people long enough. I enjoyed my time here and will return. I can't believe I've never heard or seen this place for sushi. besides the friendly staff, eating is good.

We had the tonkotsu ramen and gyoza for appetizer. Both were great! The ramen especially. A good amount of noodles, the pork was wonderful, and the broth was great!

I just found this restaurant as I was looking for a sushi place near my apartment. I've ordered about 5 times and very satisfied with their food. I love eel, and they have great eel sushi. Everything I ordered was great except the short rib bento box, as the meat was tough and didn't melt in the mouth as it should. They are fast, fresh and I enjoy this restaurant very much. Sushi and sashimi is a bit expensive, but it's worth it when you get that craving! Dave E.

Not the best shrimp fried rice for the price. I’ve tried plenty places in this same area and the quality of food is better and this same meal is about $10. There was no onion in this rice, very stingy with the amount of shrimp and the peas we’re undercooked.

What a gem! The hostess/waitress was so nice and sweet to us. Food is great quality and at really reasonable prices. Definitely will be going here regularly!
