Bidra med feedbackEating is really well done; but our server and the women's restroom need more attention. we had the chicken chips, kartoffels, avocado and tomatensalat. we stayed very full. lighting was well done, and the inner was beautiful. classic Italian with colorpops, no kink-knacks to take away from the noble interieur. server was obviously not happy to be at work and ok added? after almost everything she said. it came rude and impersonal. I had not expected phenomenal services, but I would also like to be treated well. the manhattan was perfect! order definitiw. I also had a glass pinot at approx. 350% mark up, but it was a decent pouring. I would come back, but would ask for another server. I was close enough to hear the others from the tables of their guests and she sounded much more polite. for the owner/manager please add a purse hook in the damen toilet. to the luck it was warm enough that we didn't even have to lie, but can't imagine navigating a coat and a handbag in the toilet room.
Definitely recommend the gumbo and the salad which is very generous in proportion. Fegen’s has a Fabulous menu with so many delicious options to choose from! You will love the outdoor heated dining! It’s my favorite!
I do not cook and therefore I eat out all the time. One of my very favorite restaurants is Fegens! They serve All American cuisine comfort food! Save room for dessert! Service is on point with a very attentive staff. Clean with a classic ambiance that is perfect for a neighborhood favorite or a destination meal.
The food was pretty good, but no one was in there for the brunch oversized Canadian type bacon, good eggs, good pancakes it was a ghost town in there for brunch but OK if you like eating Alone b minus but friendly staff
Disappointing. The oysters on HH seemed like a good deal at $2/ but were of poor quality. At least half of the dozen were minuscule slivers. I'd have been embarrassed to serve them, especially in a competitive restaurant environment like Houston. I get they were small, but in my opinion it would have been better to remove them from the menu rather than offer something of such inferior quality. I'd rather pay more for something decent. The crab cake was very good (not worth $40 though) but my hopes had already been dashed by the time it arrived. Server was also very impersonal and uninformed with offerings. Glad to have been with an excellent dinner companion so that the experience at Fegen's wasn't a total loss.
