Bidra med feedbackThe interior is cozy with a low noise level, making it perfect for intimate gatherings or a date night. They have a great selection of wines and dishes. The bread and bruschetta were complimentary. Our waiter was very attentive, especially with my grandpa who loves to chat for hours. They had a variety of evening specials and a good wine list. I started with a shrimp and crab avocado salad, which was fantastic with fresh greens. For my main course, I had the lamb shank which was amazing - the portion size was huge and the meat was tender. Our waiter recommended a wine that was perfect for us and it paired well with our meal. They also brought out a dessert for the birthdays, which was generous and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. It may be a bit difficult to get in during peak hours and parking is valet only, but it is definitely worth it for the excellent service and high-quality food. Enjoy!
Let's start with the pros: -This place is awesome for a date night ambience. -Got seated on a Friday night around 6:30 pm with no wait. -Food was served promptly. Cons: -Busboys try to rush you through your meal and are rude (our tiramisu was thrown on our table and my date's coffee was nearly spilled all over his lap). -The food is nothing special, I'd give it a 3.5/5 -Parking is valet only AND you can't park across the street. -The wine shelf we were seated next to was super dusty. It seems that this place attracts a lot of regulars which nice, but I can't say that it was spectacular; maybe my expectations were set too high.
Great Italian place with romantic atmosphere. Nice mix of authentic Italian dishes and American-Italian dishes. It 's our go to date night spot. Parking is tricky, but they do have valet. Went on a Friday night around 7pm and did not need a reservation, but got busier around 8pm. Tip- ask for the specials menu! They usually have ~10 items that are not on the menu and very tasty! Food was every good- pasta tasted like it was freshly made. We have been a few times, and my favorite pasta dish has been the Three P 's but be warned it is not a light pasta sauce like the menu claims!
Parking at this restaurant is a bit difficult, but valet parking is available. They accept tips on credit cards. Upon arrival, there was a short wait to be checked in as the place was busy. COVID safety precautions are in place, with staff wearing masks, though tables are not spaced out. Outdoor seating is an option. Once seated, guests are served plain white sliced bread and butter, though a more authentic Italian touch with olive oil and seasoning would be appreciated. The burrata dish was simple with tomato, burrata, olive oil, seasoning, and arugula with balsamic glaze. The eggplant parmesan consisted of two long slices breaded with sauce and cheese. Each entree comes with seasoned vegetables that did not taste fresh. The fettuccine alfredo was delicious. Overall, considering the price and type of cuisine, there may be a better, more authentic Italian restaurant in Houston.
The air cured beef slices with truffle oil were outstanding, and the scallops in garlic sauce were cooked perfectly. The prosciutto on the scallops was a bit strong, but the sauce made up for it. The veal in wine sauce was tender and tasty, although the sauce was a bit overpowering. The handmade fettuccine with grilled chicken and parmigiana sauce was light and flavorful, never losing its intensity. The grilled chicken had a nice char that added a unique twist to the dish. Overall, a delicious selection at this restaurant.
