The Real China - HOUNSLOW

The buffet at this restaurant is delicious, with a wide range of Chinese dishes to enjoy. It closes early, so it's best to check the hours before you go. The only thing missing are fortune cookies, which would have been a nice touch.

Went here as all the Indian places I wanted to go to were either full or closed. Looked like an old pub and the staff were Romanian not Chinese- it didnt taste authentic at all as Romanians dont really ‘do’ Asian food (if anyones been to Bucharest youll see what i mean). Most of the food didnt have signs on but staff were helpful showing me what was veggie or not. Desserts were nice especially the toffee cake and love love loved the bananas in custard! soups were ok but couldve done with more beancurd in the hot n sour. the 2 hot dips were delicious too! wouldnt be in a rush to go back but if i had no other option id go.

They grab the food from Iceland across the road and then cook it! Witnessed it with my own eyes LOL!

Difficult to complain as the place is cheap but definitely not cheerful Non of the staff are Chinesse I would say possibly Romanian and most certainly not interested in raising a smile Food was plentiful but of poor quality and the vegetables were over cooked and sweet tasting The plates were either wet or dirty so had to dry off with napkins Desserts were melted and slushy One more thing to add is the hygiene rating is 4/5 according to the sign sadly we only noticed on the way out Gave extra star as the grandchildren enjoyed it

Really not good at all , I feel like they have robbed me! Please see pic attached- is that even remotely looking like sushi ? About 5mm haha Please don't go there , McDonald's is a better value for money !
