The Grumpy Monk Broadway - Horry

This restaurant draws you in based on name, like many hip spots do. The food was average and nothing stood out to me as good enough to demand a repeat visit.

I guess it was a bad day for the bartenders. If you are not a local and don't go there allot., be prepared to wait.. worst service ever..but I am a local I just don't get up to Broadway allot living to far away. The girls working didn't even introduce themselves.. it was a Saturday though and they were very busy, but that shouldn't matter.. how long does it take to look at a sushi menu?

This restaurant overall was Great. Location was nice right at broadway where there is plenty to do. We did not wait long to be seated which is a plus when you have younger children. Our waiter was very nice, checked in on us several times to ensure we were ready to order or needed help with the menu. The hangover burger was a 9 out of 10. The kids didn’t really enjoy the wings. Food was AMAZING!! Atmosphere is also amazing. Staff was amazing. Service was amazing. Our dinners did not take long at all. Seafood was fresh and delicious. If you have not tried out this local restaurant, you are missing out. Make it a point to have at least one meal here — you won’t be disappointed.

They have a wonderful California BLT! This was our third visit and it didn’t disappoint.
