The Boxcar And Grill - Hoquiam

We just moved down the street and are new to the area. Came in for the 1st time tonight and had a couple beers and some wings and fried mushrooms. Food was really good and prices reasonable. Bartender was a super nice young man. We will definitely be coming back soon!

The bar tender was very nice and the drinks were superb, how the kitchen closed at 6 and we could only do fried foods. The kid in the back was lagging so bad the bar tender had to constantly help him. The fried pickles were hella salty the wings were so greasy you couldn't taste anything but the greese and the chicken strip were really over cooked. My advice would to be get a new cook and the kid didn't wear gloves and was texting on his phone for the hour we were here. I know this because we sat by the pool table were you can see in the back just something I noticed.

I usually get their hot wings from here and it's usually pretty good but I don't know who they hired recently but now their food is rancid and they're sending it out cold I don't know what happened but they used to be good.... So instead of one star that I would be giving them right now I'm giving them three for the good times. Not really mad I'm just disappointed

We went for brunch today and the coffee was the best in town. The only thing I would suggest is have more staff in the morning . The server was bartender, server and cook at the same time and it started to get busy.
