Bidra med feedbackLights. Cam Ranh... Bay? That's right! This place lets you try some amazing global dishes without leaving MN They make it pretty Vietnam easy ; I just had to haha! But for real, check out all the neat stuff we tried here! Bun Nem Nuong Grilled seasoned pork, onions, pork eggroll, and a spicy nuoc mam, served with a bed of lettuce, cucumber, beansprouts, scallions and crushed peanuts Nem Nuong Wraps Grilled seasoned pork, romaine lettuce, rice noodles, fresh herbs and a spicy nuoc mam sauce Com Tam Bi Cha Thit Nuong With rice, egg, Asian meatloaf, sliced pork chop, shredded pork, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and nuoc mam sauce. For those not proficient in the native language of Vietnam (me Nuoc Mam Fish Sauce. And it FANTASTIC, we dipped almost everything in it! My restaurant companion had the first dish with the egg roll and absolutely loved it. She said it was an excellent combination of fresh herbs, fried crispness, and savory pork, and the noodles below absorbed all that flavor goodness The second one was a make your own lettuce wrap type app(etizer . The crunchy cucumber cooperates with the pork no problem, and that mint will leaf you happy with your order And my dish last. I totally ordered it because of the awesome name. All three forms of pork gave me a feel for Vietnamese variety, and none disappointed. But the best was that egg... you get that yolk running all over, and oh man that is so good! If you see Cam Ranh Bay, don't run the other way! The jargon and creative dishes can be intimidating at first, but it's well worth wading into uncharted foodie waters for!
Good food, good service. What more can you ask for? ????
We just dined in for an early dinner and left extremely disappointed. The only positive was the young man (host/server) who provided excellent service. We ordered two apps (fried chicken dumplings spring rolls), sliced beef pho, and the beef with potato. The apps were what you would expect- pretty generic. The beef and potatoes consisted of 75% potato, 15% onion and 10% beef (and it was extremely sweet). The pho order either did not get placed or was forgotten about so I had to remind the server. By the time it came to the table, my partner had already finished their meal. The noodles were hard and never softened up so I had to send it back and asked them to remove it from the bill. Additionally, they asked if we wanted white or fried rice with our entree, which we chose fried rice, but they failed to mention there was a $3 up charge. For two apps, one entree, and two glasses of water we spent $45 before tip.
Their Pho bowls are done to perfection. I have been here several times. The only downside is their price. One of the most expensive in Twin Cities. Most noodle items north of $14. Given their location at a prime area that's understandable. Of course you get better deal driving to St Paul on University Ave. Attentive staff is a plus.
Lovely ambience, and excellent food. The place is really cozy, and clean. We tried pho and potstickers. Both of them were delicious. Especially pho was very soothing and flavorful. Perfect amount of oil and salt. Definitely recommended people in town to try this place.
