Delicious food although portions on the small side. One small slice of cheese on the cheeseboard was disappointing.

The service was cold unprofessional and uncomfortable . We were given one menu then told she was fetching more and given another menu so 2 menu’s for 3 people ?? not busy either . Asked what ales were on ,she said what do you want ? I asked if they had an sparkling elderflower she said we have an elderflower drink in a bottle . The food arrived ,luke warm ,bland ,lifeless and lacking flavour and skill. My daughter was the last to finish and was made to feel uncomfortable by the front of house who seemed desperate to clear our plates all of a sudden ...again not busy . I found it very hard paying the bill for such an awful experience and gave my review on fb which they removed .This speaks volumes about an unprofessional one hit wonder which does not deliver and word of mouth is a very important tool for your business ...taking criticism and learning from it also shows you believe in your product .Removing criticism shows that you don't really deserve to have repeat custom or a business . We felt unwelcome the minute i arrived having to explain that i wasnt late as i had modified my booking to a later time which they huffed at and shrugged ..we really should have walked at that point .

Our first visit made an excellent impression, knowledgable and helpful staff, a good range of drinks and food, a pleasant environment. I'd have liked to see another vegetarian option.

Excellent service, although the waiting staff were very busy. A main course left the kitchen as a gluten-free option by mistake and therefore was not as described on the menu. Free desserts were provided to compensate.

I visited with my partner at the weekend we had a table booking and sat inside. The building itself was really nice and the atmosphere was quiet but pleasant we definitely felt able to socially distance. The menu was limited but there was plenty we liked and the food itself was good. However the service was very poor after we had finished the waitress pretty much ignored us completely. It wasn't that she was busy as there was only 1 other couple inside who she spoke to several times! We were waiting to be asked if we wanted another drink or dessert but she never even glanced at us. In the end we had to go up to the bar to pay (probably shouldn't have to do that with Covid) and went elsewhere.
