I'm on the fence about Edgars.. I do love their chicken salad sandwiches and their spinach dip, it's wonderful. My problem is with the pastries and cakes. Yesterday we bought 12 cookies $22. You expect at that price the cookies would be over the top. They were overcooked, dry and all tasted the same. There were 4 different kinds of cookies in the box, and every cookie had the same texture and taste, very disappointing. We purchased 4 cupcakes there a couple months ago, and had the same feeling. The cupcakes were dry and not much flavor. It always seems to be nice and clean, and the staff is always very nice and efficient- I just don't feel you get the best baked goods at Edgars.

Wonderful local bakery with multiple Birmingham area locations. They also serve breakfast and lunch, but their wide selection of bake goods is the primary focus. One of my favorite items is their thumbprint cookies.The breakfast and lunch menu are limited, but the items are fresh and done well. The standard two-egg breakfast is what you would expect and pretty good. For lunch I like the chicken salads.I have been here several times and have always been satisfied with food and service.

Y'all should just close down not even a single chocolate chip cookie that's all I wanted... had nothing on the racks disappointed
