Overall, the food was really great, but they forgot my husband's wine pairing until he reminded them half way through the meal, the same with our friend's sake flight. Also, there was a wine my husband didn't like and her requested something else and they replaced it. They were more attentive initially until it got a little busier. It definitely wasn't crowded while we were there, but we had early reservations. The food was good but our drinks weren't jiving with the meal. The Meadow was AMAZING, but the only thing I thought wasn't fantastic on the Indulge was the Ahi and the Baked Alaska.
It was just average. I expected more given the price, even factoring in that it was Valentine's Day.
We visited the restaurant for a Valentine's Day dinner, where they offered only three set five-course menus: vegetarian, seafood, and a regular meat and seafood option, each with the choice of a wine pairing. Given the fixed menu and the requirement for advanced reservations, one would expect the restaurant to have a good grasp on the number of plates, glasses, cutlery, food, drinks, and staff needed for the evening. Unfortunately, there was a lapse somewhere, causing delays that left the entire restaurant waiting for our next courses. Even after a manager came out to apologize for the slow service, we still had to remind our server about our main course, and later about our wine pairing when it was forgotten. While the food and wine were decent and reasonably priced at an extra $30 for the pairings, the service breakdown ultimately overshadowed the special occasion.
We attended the Valentine's Day dinner at the restaurant, which offered only three fixed menus—vegetarian, seafood, and a regular meat and seafood option—each consisting of five courses. There was also an optional wine pairing available. Given that this was a set menu event with extended reservations, one would expect the restaurant to be well-prepared in terms of the number of plates, glasses, utensils, and servers needed for the evening. Unfortunately, there was some mishap that left the entire restaurant waiting far too long for the next dish to be served. Even after a manager apologized for the slow service, we still had to wait a considerable amount of time for our main course, and our server forgot to bring us the next wine pairing. While the food and wine were enjoyable and the additional $30 for the wine pairing was reasonable for couples, the breakdown in service ultimately marred the occasion.
We enjoyed a wonderful fixed-price menu with wine pairings for the Valentine's special. The food was creative and beautifully presented. The sommelier was friendly and enthusiastic, making for a lovely evening overall.
