Bidra med feedbackThe food is excellent, but the service can improve. I feel like the workers get a little judgy and predict who will give a big tip. I saw an older Japanese gentleman refilling coke after refilling while I died of thirst. Do you know the sunshine right into the restaurant? Next time I'll dress up like an old Japanese man and see how the service is...
I was 4 times in this restaurant, the first time with a local who recommended this restaurant to me. And I was very happy every time! I don't understand the bad reviews. The food is super delicious (also good for vegetarian, there are options without fish). And the staff was very friendly, helpful and fast. I love this restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu!
When we arrived for lunch, where they served fixed sets and pages to order. The price alone is a little high for lunch, but the quality and food made it good. Defects where came out when we finished what we had, so we never felt hurried. For the most part, it is bar seats; in the end there are some small stands. With even a small group of four to go, can be difficult if you plan to speak a lot during the meal. The tempura is light and crispy and leaves no oily fee on the lips. Chawanmushi was light and creamy. If you are in it, the soft bowl is excellent.
Known for their tempura (batter fry), the tendon was excellent w/ extra sauce on the side. Oyster, shrimp, pumpkin was excellent. Hawaii Kale is the best kale can be (not say much). Pleasant staff with a unique facility. Staff served from the center, so expect a few past cups of plates, or sit in the Coffee Shop style counter for the best service. Expect $16 $35 Entrees. Unique Japanese decor includes several different patterns on the walls.
