Ordered Miso Soup (best I’ve tasted), crab ravioli (Devine) and shrimp tempura roll…all dishes were fantastic and tasty. Service was terrific. Highly recommend if you can get here early for the special.Food: 5/5
Nice spot and conveniently in the same building as our hotel (Waikiki Marriott resort and spa). A little pricey but normal for Waikiki. Service was prompt, food was delicious, and drinks were great! It was dark by the time we ate but the restaurant has a great view of the beach.Food: 5/5
Restaurant is on 2nd floor of the plaza in the same space as DK Steak house. We were quickly greeted when we walked into the establishment. We ate at the sushi bar. The chef, Greg, was polite. Our waitress came after a few mins . We ordered sushi and steak. Our rolls were tasty and a sharable size. The steak was Huge and succulent. Both came rather quickly. Great spot for sushi or steak. Food was Plentiful and delicious.
We went to Sansei on the night we arrived to Oahu. We didn't have reservations and it was a Saturday night, but they still took our name and we were seated in 45 mins. (They take your mobile number and text you. There's plenty to see nearby and the time goes by fast. Our waiter, Kai, was amazing! He knew the menu inside-and-out, gave us great recommendations, and was so patient with all 6 of us. All of the food was absolutely amazing, and the seared tuna salad is a must have. I had been to Sansei in Kapalua and hoped that the Waikiki location was just as good. And, it was!
Came here thinking it would be an upscale restaurant for my honeymoon and it wasn 't. When making a reservation they ask you all these details about dietary needs and the occasion but then when you get there none of that was really relevant. They did nothing special for our honeymoon. The sushi options were limited and it didn 't taste any different than cheaper sushi down the street. They didn 't have a lot of variety either. We paid $100+ for nothing special. Our server was blah. He wasn 't rude or anything but usually when you notify them it 's your honeymoon or birthday they offer something or do something special but nothing happened. This place is definitely more casual not upscale at all and not worth the price. Super disappointed as this was the only fancy restaurant we booked and did not feel satisfied at all. They charge upscale prices though. Paia fish market is way better down the street. Food is cheaper, more quantity and better quality. It 's not fancy but way better.
