Bidra med feedbackHaving left the island in 2014- I remember it when it was still on Sand Island- hubby and I frequented there on the weekends because of the tasty bagel sandwiches. I always got the Malangaay bagel.Went in current location, and asked if the Malangaay bagel was still sold. He scoffed and rudely said, we haven 't had that in 10 years . Wow. Thanks for appreciating a customer that would bother to come to your shop just for a bagel. Don 't have to be my friend, just suggesting that you check your customer service and how you deliver your message to your customers. Not Aloha at all.
It’s not like it used to be. They only offer plain cream cheese. No flavored or lox. And they only put a thin layer of cream cheese where you can see the bagel. Very disappointing.
I 'll preface this by saying I spent my first 25 years living in New York, so I know what a bagel should be. These are not bagels. They look like bagels, but they 're simply bagel-shaped bread. They taste like slightly undercooked, dense white bread. I really wanted to love them, but there was nothing to love. I hate panning a locally-owned business, but $54 for two dozen sliced bagels (they charge you 10 cents per bagel for slicing! that ended up being worse than the junk you get at Costco merits a bad review.
Loved loved loved this place! Got the cheese bagel with ham, eggs, cheese, butter added cream cheese. It sounds typical, but it was a heavy bagel sandwich in the best way! Not only was the bagel good, the service was amazing! I wish I got the names of the workers working that morning, but the energy that they gave off was something else, so kind, so sweet. It was a refreshing start to the morning when you got a grumbling tummy! Very deserving of all 5 stars! Going to try the taro bagel next!!!
My go-to place for my bagel fix. I always get the Manhattan delight (lox strips and cream cheese on an everything bagel). I try to support local businesses as much as possible.
