Bidra med feedbackOne of the best places on the island to have authentic Chinese and Malaysian foods at the nominal price. The quantity and quality of food is good. You will have a lot of options. You have great options for group of people. The group of 4 or 10. People are so polite.
Hidden gem near Waikiki in my opinion. Came here with a group of 7 an hour before they close and we had the best service and really good food. Their menu is huge and filled with goodies that are super affordable compared to other places. On this night, we tried their wonton noodle soup (6.50$ , and their Golden Eagle Special (39.99$ that comes with 4 entries and rice. The food was excellent and the Golden Eagle Special is a hit and highly recommended if you come with a large group. The portion size is spot on and flavor of each dish is just quality. I can't stop commenting on how great their service was. Our waitress or shall I say multiple waitresses were attentive and hands down provided the best service I've had in Hawaii. People needs to come here and try their food. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Do not be deceived by the modest/threadbare surroundings, this is the best Chinese food I've had in Honolulu, easily surpassing fancy restaurants that cost twice as much. Authentic Cantonese dishes (I'm from Hong Kong) that are tasty and huge portions. And the staff is very nice. A great find! Eat in or take out, can't go wrong either way.
I ordered 2 items, soft won ton cake noodle, and Singapore Rice Noodles. The soft won ton is gravy style, served over cake noodles. Tasty, nice sized portion, quickly made. Lots of vegetables. The Singapore Noodles, not great. The portion size was good, but a little bland. Other places add shrimp, but this one only had char siu. The noodles were soggy, almost mushy. I would not order that again. I guess it's hit or miss, but I would try it again
I wished our cake noodles would be a bit crunchy with the chicken on top that’s a bit over seasoned. I didn’t really like the batter for the garlic chicken. It was too thick. The chow fun was ok. It just needed a little more sauce and season. But the salt pepper shrimp was good. Some skin were stuck on the shrimp so I eventually ate the shell and meat. Overall it was ok. Just wanted to try out a new place.
