Akira Japanese - Honolulu

Very nice dining experience, authentic Japanese cuisine and preparation, the chef wears a tie. The set was a great deal and they had some nice seasonal offerings.

Had the miso butter fish for dinner as per recommendation from the waitress, was fantastic, just melted in my mouth. Would go again!

Every dish was delicious and the staff were all very pleasant, flexible, and efficient. Reservations are highly recommended since it's a nice, cozy place. The only challenge is parking. You have to enter the garage from Young Street or find street parking on King Street after 6:30p. Will definitely be back!

Wow really impressed with the food I just got. We got a deluxe poke bowl a nori bento and then four rolls and it was so inexpensive and great quality. My wife was happy we found this place

Tucked away and small, but ambiance is great and can also byob... Portions small but affordable and food tastes great! Loved the lamb chop!
