Bidra med feedbackAbsolutely loved our visit in this teefarm! we decided to buy the tour and we are so glad that we have made it! taka was an amazing guide through this experience! the process of growing, harvesting and transforming the raw leaves into a refined tee is fascinating. the focus on maximizing the use of natural processes, if possible, is inspiring and impressive. the landscape is beautifully lush and green with a lot of trees and plants on the plot. taka explained the process thoroughly and answered our many asking. the viewing of the being was great, but the highlight was the wonderful teezeremonie we shared with taka. the tee was delicious and the environment was calm and soothing. it was a truly beautiful visit! we want to share this with our other tea enthusiast friends.
My wife and I visited Mauna Kea Tea in March. We live in Waimea, about 20 minutes away. It can get a little confusing to find the place but Kimberly was able to get us there with great directions over the phone. What a wonderful experience! This is a family-run tea farm and we were greeted by Kimberly and her young daughter. It was lightly raining so we didn't spend too much time out in the fields but that's ok. Once we entered the house, we knew we were in for something special. We tried several teas in a beautifully rustic setting. Nothing was rushed, everything was relaxed and not at all pretentious. We purchased several teas and absolutely love the Green Tea with Ginger Turmeric and Cacao. The Cacao is absolutely spectacular I've never tasted a tea like that before. My go-to now is the Green Tea which I brew with a French Press and chill for Iced Tea. Absolutely perfect! I think it's very important to interact with those who have a singular passion and are committed to producing the finest product possible. Mauna Kea Tea is a shining example of that and not to be missed!
Excellent green and a wonderful time during the tasting experience. they take them through their hole farm and explain the process at the top down, which are variable and how they think about their production from a holistic standpoint. more fascinating way to spend a few hours. these young are the best!
We had a very informative, unique and intimate teeverkostung experience on the farm, host of ken. he was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about tee and the tea nutrition process. we also have great talks about smokers and coffee, about different green tea sets and mochi!
My wife and I and our 20, 22 year old daughters had a great visit with Kimberly, one of the owners. We tasted tea, talked about the farm, and talked about what it’s like to live and work in this part of Hawaii. We were also treated to a visit by her daughter who brought us all flowers! The tea is excellent. What made the visit outstanding was hearing about the farm, the way of life, and the mindset of the owners. They have created a serene space, and it was wonderful to be part of it for a few hours.
