La Voute - Homewood

Great restaurant with amazing food and staff. I look forward to returning!

We went to celebrate Valentine’s Day and chose the restaurant at the last minute because it was available. We were glad that we took a chance. We brought our 8 month old infant with us and they made us feel welcomed and cozy. The food was good and so were the drinks. We’d definitely return.

The decor and being located inside a boutique hotel made the experience very good. It was laid out better than expected. The reserve wine list was decent but needs a little work. Staff exceeded expectations. The only issue was the food needed seasoning. Something to make the flavors pop. I would wait a few months and give them another try.

Unfortunately, each one of our orders were brought out separately due to some level of miscommunication. We waited over an hour (not busy) for salad…it went to the wrong table and the other order never came so my guest accepted whatever was available. Chef was appropriate about, apologized and offered us a drink. We plan to come back, we recognize that sometimes there is a glitch and things don’t run smoothly as we would like. We just happen to be on the receiving end of that last night.

David was an excellent server. Knowledgeable and experienced. The mushroom ravioli was perfection.
