Bidra med feedbackI ate here on a bank holiday Sunday night when everywhere was packed. I was lucky to get a table here. I was on my own, and really enjoyed reading my book in the busy restaurant with really kind, attentive staff. The food was really good. Everything was tasty and piping hot. The service was prompt but I didn't feel rushed. It was lovely from start to finish. 3 courses including tip, a cocktail, glass of wine and coffee it was €70 which I thought was very good value.
Good is pretty good and not too expensive, given the beautiful location. Apple crumble was really Amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was in Cork to celebrate Christmas with my daughter and on December 24th we had lunch at the Metropole restaurant. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and the staff were really friendly and professional. I would have liked to put five stars in the review... but the wine... the wine!! A Chardonnay that costs 5 euros, which is also almost undrinkable, was charged 32 euros. From a hotel and restaurant of the Metropole's caliber I would never have expected something like this.
Arrived at the Met at a busy time, noticed immediately by our bartender Javier who managed to chat to us while serving all his customers. Top class service, great pints. Javier delivered to our table when it got quieter, really going the extra mile. Came here expecting a good time, and was impressed. Could not recommend highly enough!
