Meier's Country Fried Chicken

I enjoy the chicken, beans, potatoes and gravy. I love stopping when I'm in the Holladay area for work, I usually bring something extra home to keep me a few meals.

No bells or whistles-what you see is what you get. Really, no different than deli food at any supermarket. Affordable is the only reason I didn?t give it 1 star. Chicken was meh. Sides were too cold to eat and very little tasted home/store made. Was disappointed. Will not return.

The chicken was great breast not dry all of the chicken was tender and juicy.And they didnt put too mtch salt in like KFC.Mashed potatoes had chicken gravy rather than brown gravy,which I liked very much..the rolls did not come with butter and no utensils or napkins.that was disappointing. The service was good direct and friendly. I expecred a cheap knockoff of kfc and the food was much better.

FYI to non locals. I visited this place because of the good reviews of the fried chicken. Overrated at best. Maybe if the chicken was fresh out of the fryer I might have liked it more. Let's say I'm not coming back ever again. The sit-down area has no restroom option. Can't wash your greasy fingers off when you're done eating. Also my family wanted non-diet soda option, technically they were out, the options that they had were not good. You ask what I like most about visiting here? Leaving!

Amazing comfort food! Incredible service. I eat here frequently because they have the best fried chicken around, I love the beans and they have perfect funeral potatoes. I recently used Meier's for a catered event with 120 people. It was very affordable, fast and easy. I forgot one of my boxes when I picked up the food and Mr Meiers appeared out of nowhere with the box, saving the day! Thank you Meier's, you made our event something really special. Much more fun than boring sandwiches or pizza.
