Bidra med feedbackThis place has no specific vegan options, but can make some of the vegetarian dishes vegan, and others too. If you are not sure to check if they use oysters or fish sauce in the plate and, if so, ask them to leave it. Also ask if they have a vegan version unlikely, but who knows!
Some vegetarian things on the menu, but ask for no oyster sauce. Portions were quite large, but very rich, and quite hard to eat. Probably wouldn't eat here again, but it was okay, and the only place open between 2 and 5.
It is not a 100% vegan place, but it has some options! I added it as there are only 2 lists at the time of adding and one of them the standard Indian restaurant... well here is an Asian also for diversity. I added the veggie menu per April 2018. (hidden link)
The service at this restaurant is exceptional - prompt, polite, and patient. I highly recommend it for a delicious and authentic meal in Hokitika. It's fantastic to have them in town!
Was the only place serving lunch at 14:30 so we went for a lunch to this restaurant. Had very nice pan-fried pork and veggie dumplings. Beef brisket stew with tomatoes and a portion of steer fried chicken in oyster sauce. All food was good or very good. The spicy sauce they had went very well with the noodles and dumplings. The portions were generous. For the service you would have to ask for things (e.g. water) and there seems to be a slight language barrier, but, overall, we were very satisfied. Not sure why the rating is so low.
