Bidra med feedbackWe were attracted to the restaurant by the sight of the authentic roasted ducks hanging in the window. However, the taste of the duck was only average. We also ordered the crispy pig, which was very disappointing. The skin was not crispy and had a unpleasant odor. In all fairness, it may be the best option for BBQ in Hobart, but don't expect too much.
The service provided by the young man who attended to us was enthusiastic and eager to please, but the rest of the staff at this restaurant fell short. The establishment itself was dirty, with condensation marks on the walls and paper napkins tucked under a table to keep it stable. We also had to request clean glasses twice. The food was mediocre, especially the Szechuan chicken meal which consisted of small chicken wings that were tough and unappetizing, priced at a steep $23.50. Despite there being four weeping plants near the entrance, no weeping plants were available for lunch. With strong competition in the area, it is unclear how this restaurant has stayed in business. It became apparent why we were the only two patrons in the restaurant.
Ordered suppe and claypot huhn with tofu with a little chili plus rice. they brought the main meal first before the suppe, so I asked that the suppe is served first. they kindly took it on the back to keep it...warm suppe wasn't too bad, but the claypot huh and tofu didn't look like the picture. I like chilis, but I couldn't take more than 2 teaspoons of tofu/ chicken, because it was extremely chili hot. still hungry I ordered a bbq roast port. that was the second disappointment. it was dry and hard, again nothing near as it looks on the photo of the menu. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place.
Very disappointed. my friend went and bought a whole roasted duck, he got a duck from the kitchen while he paid for the recipe. When he came home, we noticed that there was only half a duck boob. I have this court. As long as I remember and also have cut whole birds themselves regularly, I can easily say from which part of the bird of the cut originates. also it did not taste very fresh. I tried to call the phone and give feedback and also tried her fb/messenger. I didn't hear anything. the duck itself tastes but beautiful, which is why I went back in her restaurant.
There weren't many options for dinner on Xmas evening but these guys are open and very busy. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service and fantastic food and would happily go back again.
