Bidra med feedbackI regret to visit this facility for my lunch today and how sad that my experience consistently reflects reviews up to 5 years ago. Obviously this place was never great. Anyway, here goes: Service: You order and pay at the switch. The two girls were friendly enough, though I came in because I saw a court on the special board that sounded interesting. The two girls laughed when I went so clear I wasn't asking the first. “Run out.” She said. I replied it could be a good idea to cross it from the board. I should have gone. Hygiene: There is a long padded bench where I went to sit after I had ordered and paid, but there was a pronounced smell of urine. I moved to the other side of the café to a wooden seat. Cost: $21 for some squid rings and chips. They had calculated an additional $3 for a ‘Salad’ that could be described better than Garnish. Time: there were 2 other customers than I entered. It took 35 minutes until my meal arrived. I was at my work for lunch in the middle of the city in a café. This place is only for people who don't have to be anywhere. Eat. Overpriced, over cooked and about 5/10 taste wise. To be clear: avoid. There are so many great restaurants in Hobart really an effort to win your business. That's not one of them.
We ordered the seafood “Basket” and it was not all the bad much too much salt in it, but different from the sensible one. My wife ordered eggs Benedikt and that was pretty good when I should be picky, I would say the eggs were too "watery", but tasted quite food and I will certainly be the least for coffee again...
The first time here and during the coffee was very nice, it was only lukewarm and could be drunk in a hit. I liked that there are many seats and the prices are very reasonable. Leave yourself with drinks
Lovely service, the coffee was delightful. The raisin toast looked superb but they never washed the knife when they cut the dlices as you could taste onion on the toast of both serves. Move along.
I recommend Amalfi as a meeting point with a friend, as my previous experience of Amalfi was positive. This visit, however, was only so. The service was friendly and fast, I couldn't owe it. The Caesar salad, however, had much too much dressing on... it was that I couldn't eat anything.. My coffee could have been much stronger. I didn't order it specifically, so the last time it was perfect. Am I back? Probably there are not many other food deals nearby that are from a much higher standard.
