Tamagoya - Himeji

Very reasonably priced. Lovely staff. I was served quickly with the food hot rice, raw eggs, miso and pickles with a side of eel. All delicious! Eggs and rice were refillable for free! The raw eggs with bonito, soy sauce and rice was a new type of dish for me but really enjoyable. The eggs are fresh and are packed with flavour, and the eels was cooked very well and had a nice flavoured marinade. Surprisingly quiet despite it being immediately outside Himeji castle! 100% would recommend.

OMG that is sooo good!! With the price, you can refill the tamago and rice at your choice and for FREE! This is sooo good and worth the price, high quality! We love it so so muchhhh!

The eggs used were fresh and clean, which complemented well with the rice used. The free-flow eggs and rice allow you to fill yourself easily, so it is worth the money.

I ate the Tamago Kake Gohan ¥860, tax included), it was delicious and inexpensive. I was also very surprised that you can refill the rice and egg for free as most shops need payment to do so. It sure is an amazing experience to have a bite after visiting the Himeji Castle.

In this restaurant, I ate a raw egg over rice. In Japan, raw eggs are served over rice with soy sauce. This food is known as a Japanese breakfast food. At Tamagoya, you can have as many servings of this delicious raw egg over rice as you like.
