Bidra med feedbackMy dad wanted to check this place for years. We finally have the chance to try it and it was really worth it. The food was really great. The staff was very friendly. The harbour area was fun to explore and was really pretty. The gift shops were fun and they have some friendly cats that you can house although they are called the Salty Dog. I would definitely recommend checkin? Out here.
The food was great. Service was friendly and friendly funny, the server always called us my master and lady with their island accent. Anyway, eating by and having a drink, the guy was really good to sing. fun time all had
Really enjoyed. This place is quite good, but it is quite expensive compared to other places with the same quality food. That means you also pay for the atmosphere. It's right next to the water, they have a guy singing and playing the guitar on the back deck, tons of outside seats. We had the shrimp rubber cups (9/10 ), the seafood pasta (9/10 ), the shrimps and dips (7/10 , Mahi fish bites appetizer (10/10 GET THESE! They were absolutely phenomenal! Also the Jambalaya Pasta- a little spicy and packed with sausage (9/10). The most important thing to take away from this review is that each of these meals is likely enough to feed 2.5 people. The dishes are sooooo incredibly large, you can just share with someone. We had so many leftovers to take us. Plan for around $40 per person and sit where you can see the boats coming on the water.
You need to go here when you visit Hilton Head Island. The food itself is good and the landscape is great, but it is the novelty dog name that brings most of the cartridges. It is practically always busy to have you time for a waiting period. When we sat, we had a great place outside in a private area with excellent views. This alone made it worth it, but the food was also very delicious. My main complaints are that the waiters are quite thin and it can be a bit pricy, but this is quite common for tourist spots. I would definitely recommend you to stop at the Salty Dog.
The Salty Dog is an iconic stop here on Hilton Head. I had the burger and it was pretty good but the tomato slice was hard and bitter. If it was December I might overlook it but it?s July in South Carolina and there is no shortage of places to get great local tomatoes. It made what could have been a great burger into a mediocre one. The service was great but I wouldn?t pay the $9 to get in Sea Pines and drive all the way over here to eat again.
