Drive through was backed into the street with only eight cars in line. There was two stations to take orders but waiting to get to these stations could only provide two vehicles each. Then if your the fifth vehicle you are on the street.
I'm going to give a good rating for how convenient their online pickup system is. It took about seven minutes of sitting in the parking lot, rather than having to deal with drive thru. Food was hot when it came out. As for the food, the apple pie was awesome. The big mac and buttermilk chicken sandwich were both pretty dry and disappointing. Where was the beef indeed? Anyway we'll be covering this on a future Big Island, Big Eats podcast, on a Fast Food, Slow segment.
The line of the drive through was long. The service was not very quick inside either and the food was not good. It was just tasteless
I despise going to this McDonald’s. Here is why the first is the flow of the drive thru I believe it to be backwards the McDonalds is on a 1 way street and if the line is long enough there is a possibility after you g through the drive thru you can’t exit because the line blocks the exit. Not I know it’s not the McDonald’s fault just who ever planed/ deigned that drive thru. Secondly is no communication to the customer. Apparently you cannot do a mobile order after 10PM ok that’s fine but one the mobile app lets you still order even though it’s pass the time. Side note I once went thought the line at 9:50 and got to the window I was telling the worker my code and they weren’t understanding what I was saying I repeated the code 5-6 times after the coworker who was working next to them suggested the right letter it was 10:02 and they instantly said ohh we can’t do online orders after 10:00 . Yes I know but it took me 12 minutes to tell you the code. I understand it was last minute but I was already there and he was already taking the code whatever 2 minutes over the date that’s my fault what’s not my fault is them instantly messing up my order after that. Which brings me to three I have had countless orders messed up at this McDonalds and when I go to pay I prefer to pay with Apple Pay on my watch. 3 times I go to pay and the worker lazily just holds the reader out the windows to which I can’t reach to pay. The only reason I had to return was because they were the only McDonald’s according to the app that had the McRib in stock. I will say this though ever since they started hiring new people it’s gotten better but for me I still dread having to go to this one only because the other McDonald’s are closed or have a crazy long line.
