Matsu - Hillsdale

We thoroughly enjoy Matsu Sushi Grill. The food consistently impresses with its freshness, the ambiance is pristine, and the service is impeccable. My 13-year-old daughter adores the Izumi Roll, boasting flavorful chicken Tempura. Meanwhile, my 11-year-old delights in the Chicken Tempura dish, served alongside a crisp salad and rice. Personally, I find the Tuna Amazing Roll to be a standout, bursting with freshness and flavor. Alice, the owner, exudes warmth and hospitality during each visit, making us feel truly welcome. It has become a tradition for my daughters to request dining at Matsu, making it a top choice for family and holiday celebrations. I wholeheartedly recommend Matsu for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

This review is for take-out only and is well worth the take out indeed! We recently ordered a little of everything from the sushi takeout menu and were very pleasantly surprised. Ample portions and enough wasabi provided to make even the most tolerant among us happy, we enjoyed our meal and look forward to trying it again soon.

I tried something new kim chi beef udon soup! The kim chi was a neat addition to a more tradition udon. It's probably better to eat dining in than for takeout....which is now possible because Matsu is now offering dine in again! The sushi continues to be high quality. Try it all.

Good quality sushi at reasonable prices. I ordered takeout and got a bunch of rolls, an unaju, and a chirashi. Everything was pretty good. The rolls were well made and the fish tasted fresh. Their menu is huge so I'm excited to try some other items next time.

Nice local restaurant. We tried several items from the menu. It was all good. Disappointing compared to other local restaurants that nothing was standout or original.
