Starbucks - Hillsboro

Nice place. Affordable drinks. Sometimes it can get busy and loud in there, I know I've felt as if the customer rep was hollering (almost yelling because of a blender or constant coffee grinder) at me over the counter in general at places like these, but this one was very nice. They do a lot of volume, they have a drive through, so they are hustling everyone else's drinks out too. Friendly staff, who take the time to notice you and say hi. You have to bring in cash to tip here, you can't tip on your credit card (unless you load money on their Starbucks app and use the in app tipping feature). The staff would possibly double thier income if they could take credit card tips, but it slows down the transaction (it takes like 4-7 seconds longer per person) and so the owners don't want to burden the drink-making-flow. The pumpkin muffins are a must try. At least I like them. Mellow pumpkin flavor and a good amount of cream cheese in the middle, just try one!

Staff were amazing, service was fast and competent. Clean, bright, warm. I like going here but don't often have a reason to, it's usually in the opposite direction from my usual destinations.

Better than your typical Starbucks. This store has an amazing helpful staff that brings a small town feel to the consistent taste of Starbucks coffee. They actively learn thier client's names and drinks. Provide helpful information all kinds of other wonderful things. Overall great place and definitely the best Starbucks in The Dalles.

At first sight a busy drive through might scare people away but the service at this Starbucks is nothing but the best. They are fast and efficient. It’s also nice to enjoy some small talk. No matter how busy it might seem you will get your order in about 2 minutes. Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen.

Very friendly young lady at window. I always wish they would allow tips on credit card purchases..I always forget they don 't and end up digging out random change from strange crevices. Some service deserves a tip. She most certainly did. P.S. sorry about all the dimes..they got my 'car quarters ' last time!
