Stopped here before attending a show at the Driftless Music Garden for a cold drink. I knew when I pulled open the screen door that it was the real McCoy. Original 1914 penny tiles, tin roof, mainly lit with the streaming daylight—if you don’t count the 1940 fluorescents. You wont find modern updates it’s perfect just the way it is.If you’re traveling in the area, swing by to support the owner— the bar has been in his family since the early 1900s. A cold Jack Coke hit the spot on a hot august day, but if you prefer NA, it’s the perfect place to sit with just a Coca-Cola. Andy Griffith was on the TV. $1 pull tabs, pool, and family friendly if you’ve got kids tagging along. 5 minutes from the music venue.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks and food. Pool table and shuffle board table. Owner often plans small events, customer appreciation days, and has live music. Worth the check out!
