Big Town Hero - Hillsboro

The sandwich was meh. The sandwiches at Fred Meyer deli next door saw more appetite. It doesn't matter. The guy who works behind the counter was crazy. We asked about the menu and he was sarcastic and rude. He tried to talk to me in Spanish because he saw that I was Latino. We thought he was joking first, but he was just an idiot. We sat down and tried to eat our sandwiches there. But whenever a customer approached the door, he moaned and began to curse because he apparently hates his job while we only tried to enjoy our sandwiches before him. So remember when you plan to check this place. I just want to help small businesses, but I regret leaving him a 20% tip.

I've been a customer for many years now and came in to grab a sandwich for lunch when I heard the owner publicly berate a doordash driver for being late by 3 minutes and 26 seconds while he was picking up a delivery. Instead of handing the driver the order, the owner decided to continue his tantrum and stated that the doordash driver was hurting his score on the app and not to do it again. The driver was very polite and took the order. I'm not sure if the owner was having a bad day or not but despite that he shouldn't be yelling at anybody especially delivery drivers who are helping his company out. It was very disheartening and embarrassing to all the customers who had to witness that and I'm sure the driver didn't find it very pleasant. I will no longer be frequenting Big Town Hero and I hope the owner reads this review and understands that being in a customer service oriented business he should conduct himself a little better than he did.

The manager is usually working and he remembers people pretty well. I always get exactly what I order. If you want to order 3+ sandwiches around lunch time, I recommend ordering ahead and picking it up. They are only open till 3. The bread is amazing as well as the soups. Love this place. I'd choose this over any other sandwich place.

This place has the best sandwiches around. The ingredients are fresh and the bread is the most delicious bread I?ve ever had. Randy (the owner) is a great guy who works hard. Every time me and my family come in, he greets us with our names and asks how we are doing. He truly cares about his customers.

Food was tasty, I really enjoyed the bread! Friendly staff and the tables were clean. I will be back to try more of their sandwiches.
