Bidra med feedbackGreat food, ridiculous portions, somewhat pricey but you get a ton of food!
An authentic Philly place. The owner and staff remind us just of home as philly-area natives, quick to the point but friendly and the food is impeccable. The fries are delicious but the star of the show is the cheesesteaks (with whiz! . We tried Warios which was great don’t get us wrong, but really nothing compares to Hoagie City. We’ll be repeat customers for years to come and my in-laws from Philly will request it by name when they visit.
We love this place.Been here a bunch now and every time it’s been incredible. The food is so good and the amount of food you get is unreal. The owners and everyone else are so friendly and it really feels like a family run place.
I ordered $35 worth of food online — two sandwiches, a large fry, and some mushrooms. It was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes; I arrived after 35. All the food was ready save for a Philly steak — which took 15 minutes to make. By this time the fries were cold — the rest of the order was just sitting on the counter — so I asked for the fries to be remade. I figured the rest of the order would reheat well, and I just wanted out of there at that point. Well, the cook said did say “sorry” when she gave me the remade fries. I thought maybe they were just having a bad day. When I got home I found I’d only received six small fried mushrooms in my order — that works out to $0.82 a piece. It was an insultingly small portion, especially when combined with the nonchalantly slow service and cold food. The sandwiches were large and very good, but for $35 for two sandwiches and two sides I expect better than cold food and the cold shoulder.
The subs are outstanding and so are the fries. They use great quality ingredients, but this place is a better choice for lunch as they sometimes close early. Today we tried to come in and order a sub 25 min. before they closed and told us if we hadn’t already placed an order we needed to leave as they were closing.
