Bidra med feedbackCame in this pub/restaurant the week before with a friend and was amazed how good the food and service was, very nice atmosphere also. so decided to book a table for my partner birthday, it is a little bit further than we would travel in the rule for a meal (about an hour from sittingbourne), but I knew it would be worth the trip. the food was excellent and beautiful proportions also. the table service was fantastic and many thanks to the guy who bought a deck to wrap my partner who felt a little cool, very nice of them. we sat at the fire in the bar, but unfortunately it went out. everything was nice and we'll be back soon.
Eating as usual was delicious but once they met the temperature of the room it was ice cold inside and made the experience less than enjoyable we could not wait to eat (food was hot) and let sad we are regular, but with my 89-year old vater I would have to think new to come back in winter.
Myself and five other members of my family ate at the Little Brown Jug on Saturday 14th jan 2023 at 12.30. It was fairly quiet when we arrived with very few tables occupied. Only two people from the group had starters and they were served to us relatively quickly. Then the wait between the starters and the next course was over 30 mins. My husband ordered a side order of chips with his fish cakes and they did not arrive until half way through our main course. My husband explained they he had expected his chips at the start of his main course meal and not once he was half way through it. There was no apology! Once eaten the plates were not removed for at least another 30 mins. Pudding was offered and served relatively quickly. The food was mediocre and the customer service not good enough by any one’s standards! I would not book a meal at the The Little Brown Jug again. They were not busy and were not attentive.
Booked for a birthday lunch and was disappointed. Lovely setting, very nice and cosy pub, but we waited about 20 minutes for drinks to be ordered, waited about 1.5 hours for starters to be served and about 2.5 hours for mains. It wasn't busy just a handful of diners.
We arrived at 2.30pm for lunch. Food very good, except our chips were over cooked. Music genre was changed to something more low-key (upon request), but only for a short while.
