Bidra med feedbackExcellent food and excellent service, friendly and inexpensive. I recommend the muddles that were fantastic.
I decided to eat here because the menu published on the hotel website appeared to offer some attractive vegetarian main course options. in the night, however, they were not available. I had the choice of a shop-bought meat-substitute vegan burger on a level. with fries and tweebel rings for about £10; what was effektiw pasta in a tomato sauce for £12, or a generic herbal Thai vegetable sweet curry for £14 that I chose. it was nice enough, but nothing special. for most vegetarians this would be the type of meal that they have as a short middle of the week, after work evening meal, if there was nothing much left in the refrigerator. they certainly did not justify their prices. for a starter I had a baked camembert for about £8 which came with minimal preparation and would have profited enormously from a crust or roasted brot, instead of serving the more stony piece of soft baguette with it. overall it was a disappointing exercise
Friendly reception in acharacle. loch shiel hotel is dog friendly and her four-legged friend is made to feel also welcome. large apple and orkney ale, plus good selection of malt. the restaurant offers delicious, inexpensive dishes on site. you need to book.
While we were on holiday in the Acharacle area, we visited this hotel for dinner. eating was very good, much of it fresh locally, especially seafood. the staff is welcoming and friendly, and the hotel has a large garden with magnificent views... over open landscape. they are also dog-friendly and have a counter where their dog can stay with them. all in all, we would recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting it again.
Called in on a busy Saturday evening and staff were welcoming with our request for 7 diners with no booking. Great fresh food in attractive setting with great service
