It seems like this restaurant has undergone several changes over the years, based on the many nostalgic posts about its past. However, there are also positive reviews about it being a great venue. It will take some time to truly know. I have attempted to order takeout online for three nights but have had no luck. It is impossible to find the actual menu on their Facebook page before placing an order, which is frustrating.

I used to frequent the High Wycombe Tavern many years ago when the experience was enjoyable and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, my recent visit with friends left me disappointed as the staff were unfriendly and rude. It was clear that the staff themselves were not treated well, which was disheartening to witness. I will not be returning and hope that this issue is addressed soon. The bar service was terrible due to the unfriendly staff.

My wife and I celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with a lunch at this Tavern with our friends. As always, the food and service were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All of the meals were well cooked, tasty, and presented in good-sized portions. This Tavern never fails to please. In the past, I have been a judge for the Catering Institute of Australia Gold Plate Award, and I must say that the food at the High Wycombe Tavern is as good as many of the 5-star restaurants I have judged in the past. We went for lunch yesterday and paid 38.50 for a Scotch fillet in our opinion that’s an expensive tavern steak. That that price we won’t go back.
