The Dining Car At High River Station

This is the place I recently loved to and surely will go again next time whenever driving thru the High River. Today my family (3 boys) haven't made any reservations but the manager arranged two tables for five of us. The dishes were delicious, the environment gave me dream inside a legacy train, and the price was economical. One more important point to note. The server was an lovely young lady who I never forgot. Her adorable working attitude even got my wife appreciated.

It was a good brunch, service was so-so. Nothing to complain about but also nothing to warrant applause over either. Food was basic and had I known I could have went elsewhere. Overall it's a good one and done spot. You won't regret it but most likely won't go back.

Cool little spot located in the downtown core of High River. Wife took me out for a lunch date. Can't believe I've never tried this place in the 6 years I've lived here. I think I thought it was too fancy looking from the outside. Service was perfect from the owner of the restaurant, David. Food was on point and cost was very reasonable for the quantity. I had the Alberta roast beef dip with asiago garlic fries. Had a similar meal at Boston Pizza the day before and it was night and day the difference in quality and it was a dollar or two cheaper minus the fries upgrade! Definitely going back again. Only opened till 3pm but they do special nights like Valentine's and New year's Eve. Best food I've had in town!

The food and service here was absolutely amazing!! Went back two days in a row just so I could enjoy breakfast and lunch. Was pleasantly surprised at the pricing, was comparable, if not cheaper than other places in town. Truly my only regret is that I did not go in there sooner. ??Kid-friendliness: Haven’t taken my littler kids there yet but judging on the vibe, I definitely will and they do have a children’s menu.

I’ve been a few times and the food was amazing each time! The pecan pie is the best and I make sure to bring a couple home with us!
