K And W Cafeterias - High Point

We like to eat at K W. They offer a variety of salads, main dishes, sides, and desserts to choose from. Normally, our experience is great--the food is hot, fresh, and not overly salty. On this one occasion, however, the entree was lukewarm (almost cold), the soft roll was hard, and the side dish was also lukewarm. On the other hand, when I commented on the lack of pecan pie, one of the servers brought me a piece out of the back. I'm hoping this was a singular event since it hasn't happened before.

We love coming here on special occasions. The food is consistently tasty, the line goes fast, table service is rocket fast, and prices are reasonable. I had the white fish and it was cooked perfectly not overcooked! So five stars for sure.

Service excellent. Food was real good with exception of the mashed potatoes. Macaroni and cheese off the charts, best i have ever had at any restaurant. Place was exceptionally clean and professionally managed!

I 'll been coming there even as a kid. I always loved it. The tea is still good. Last time I got fried chicken and it was very small and very little meat. The cost had gone up to over $5 The time before last it was ****. A lot of the food is cold. I love the baked spaghetti but after new management took over it don 't taste the same. Today I was looking forward to it and it didn 't taste good . It was burn on top and I just cut it off . But then the bottom was burn also. The pie which was so good is now not fresh and the slice is about 1/2 the size it use to be. You also stop having sugar free apple pie .On top of this there is only 2 people that I been seeing there for a long . So I think new management came in and clean house of all the people that has been there. Not only that but the cooks and down home recipes seem to no longer be there . By you doing this trying to make more money for less you have only hurt yourself. Now I and lots more will have to find some where else to eat. Shame on you !

Unbelievably bad! This location (High Point) is the worst I've ever encountered for K W. We ordered takeout. The chicken tenders had to have been leftovers from the day before. They were tough, and tasted old and greasy. The mac n cheese was mushy and beyond bland. I eat fries w/ no salt, so I'm used to very limited amounts of salt in my diet, but this was bad. I pretty much threw the whole plate out. The only enjoyable part of my meal was the cornbread loaf. It gets the one star I've given in this review. I don't normally post reviews, especially bad ones, but this I could not let go. Sorely disappointed.
