Taste Of Chennai - Hicksville

First time ordering from here and I got the Tandoori Chicken (full). It was the juiciest, most flavorful tabdoori chicken i've had. The Punjabi Samosa (2) were delicious and still crispy when they got here. The Mysore Masala dosa with all the fixings was really good. I love the spicy potato filling. The Lasuni Gobi was crispy and delicious. The deserts were my favorite part. I got the rasmalai, Kesari and the Payasam. They were all sweet and satisfying after a rich and spicy meal. I will 100% be ordering from here again. Really the best indian food i've had.

The food all tasted really good. I especially enjoyed the Palak Paneer. However, I also ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which did taste good, but it was just almost all sauce and no chicken.

Food too spicy when I requested mild. No forks,knives, napkins, navratan korma was flavorless, the worst I've ever tasted. Disappointed in this order.

Portion way too small for the pricing and order . More like a kids portion

I don't think I could be more pleased with the food and service I received here the other day. I came for a takeout order, and the woman behind the counter was great. She was super friendly and made sure I knew what I was ordering.I went with the sambar, chicken tikka, butter naan, and chili naan. The sambar was light but had a good kick to it, nothing crazy hot. The chicken tikka was a good size and had a decent spice to it. The yogurt sauce on the side complimented it nicely. The butter naan was moist, hot, and fluffy. Just what I expected. The chili naan was hot and fluffy and had a kick that creeps up on you. I really enjoyed that.This is one of the better Indian restaurants in the area for sure. It's also very nice that they're not 100% vegetarian because I was in the mood for chicken.Parking: Small lot in the rear.
