House Of Dosa Incorporated - Hicksville

Disappointed .... Used to be one of the best places to go for south Indian food but they seem to have lost their roots with an upgrade to the decor. You now have to go to the counter to place your own order as no table service is provided. Water is placed outside the eating area close to the front door, so you either have to walk past everyone go get your own water. I guess the feel like they need to sell more bottled Poland springs. Food tasted sour or burnt. Maybe will try again in a few months and give them another shot.

I had great hopes to see the other reviews. The food was very oily and the taste was only average. Not worth the price.

I've been coming here with friends colleagues for a while and decided it was time for a review. I was new in South Indian cuisine, but Jay and his entire staff are friendly and helpful with answers to your questions and suggestions when you stay stuck. The food is fresh and delicious and comes in a good portion. Try drinking the mango yogurt, especially if you need to cool your mouth after trying something spicy. I try different cans every time and I wasn't disappointed yet. If you give House of Dosas an attempt (I recommend you), you should be sure to hit the ATMs on the way as they are a cash only business.

Authentic #southindian treat. It was so delicious and the waiter was also very polite. Tried, idli bada, dahibada, salted lassi and my fav: carrot halwa with vanilla icecream.

Used to go-to-spot for dosa, but the service and experience has gone down. There is no table service, but they charge you top dollars as if they do. There is no water provided to you, but you need to go to the front of the restaurant to get some fun smelling water from a donor (and repeat if you want more water as you eat). The only thing the restaurant does is get you food on the table and I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it soon. You don't want Lassi anymore because you eat? ll need to return to the line to order it and at this time your food is cold. Don't make any sense. We're not going back.
