Carvel - Hicksville

I cannot believe walked in here with my two young SonsTo get ice cream And there were bugs all over the buckets of ice cream I don't know if they were roaches. I could not deal with any of this I've never seen anything like it Most Carvel's are very cleanThis place is absolutely not clean... just sell cans of whipped cream Can't hurt yourself with that

I have mixed feelings about this. The staff, owners, family, couldn't be nicer, sweeter, or more helpful. They are a wonderful family who welcome you graciously and are happy to help you in any way. For that reason, I would give them five stars. However, the value and size of the Carvel ice cream cakes, are not what they used to be. Our family has purchased these cakes for many years. So glad I found this Carvel!!! Not only did they have strawberry flying saucer, but they had black raspberry flying saucer too. Both were a big hit. My friends especially loved the black raspberry, while strawberry was still my favorite. The new owners were especially really nice. Had a good variety, place was clean, and glad they provide had a nut free topping section. Really important to me since my son is allergic to all tree nuts. Super happy and will return.

Staff was nice and they had variety of ice cream sandwich and cakes. First time trying strawberry ice cake, and it was good. Only thing, price of ice cream cake was a bit pricey. But got the second one for the half price. Satisfied with the service and overall experience.
