The Hertford Club

Historic building but rather unimpressive interior decor. Nice garden and river terrace. Three real ales on hand pull.

We watched the rugby on Saturday night. There were two big screens. Everyone had a good view. Lots of good beer. At half-time the pub provided a small mountain of sausages in rolls and hamburgers with onions for all the customers. This was most welcome, and very generous of the landlord. A most friendly and welcoming pub, and highly recommended.

Private members club, well worth a visit and to join. Lovely garden and Riverside terrace.

This place is a tranquil oasis close to the city center, offering a peaceful escape. It has taken longer than expected to reach the Bircherly Green shopping center, which, unfortunately, isn't visible from here. The new chef is excellent!

Had a fantastic steak night! The atmosphere is very social, featuring a charming traditional English garden and a selection of real ale beers. There's a stunning newly built terrace perfect for summer dining. It's an excellent place to eat, and I highly recommend it to anyone near Hertford.
